Terms of Service

By accessing or using Retenir, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service. You must be at least 13 years of age to use Retenir. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the service.

Retenir utilizes artificial intelligence to generate notes, summaries, quizzes, diagrams, and semantic graphs based on user-provided content.

• Accuracy: AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of any generated study materials before relying on them for academic or professional purposes.
• Prohibited Use: You agree NOT to use Retenir to cheat on live exams, plagiarize, generate harmful/illegal content, or violate the academic integrity policies of your educational institution.

When using the Lecture Capture feature to record and transcribe audio:

• Consent to Record: You are strictly responsible for ensuring you have the legal right and necessary consent from instructors, speakers, and participants to record their audio before initiating a capture session.
• Retenir is not liable for unauthorized audio recordings made by users. Audio data is processed to generate transcripts and notes, and is stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You retain all ownership rights to the raw content you upload to Retenir (including PDFs, documents, audio, and typed notes). By uploading or processing content on Retenir, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, host, store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the service to you.

Retenir offers free, Core, Student, and Unlimited subscription tiers, as well as one-time AI credit top-ups.

• Renewals: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
• Credits: Unused AI credits granted via monthly subscriptions typically expire at the end of the billing cycle. Purchased top-up credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.
• Refunds: All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.

Retenir is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the service's reliability, accuracy, or suitability for any specific academic or professional outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Retenir shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service.
